Nichols College Orientation - Class of 2019

Nichols College and the Center for Student Involvement are preparing for the arrival of the Class of 2019! We have started to plan your summer orientation, and want to give you some details.

The Nichols College Orientation program is an overnight, one and a half day program that takes place in June 2015. We have designed a schedule to acclimate you to Nichols College in the best way possible.

We have a wide range of activities planned for you to get familiar with new classmates, Nichols College and all the opportunities awaiting you "on the Hill." Don’t worry families and guests, we have sessions for you too! We will offer a Family & Guest Orientation on the first day of each orientation session.

Nichols College New Student Orientation Dates:
Session A: Thursday, June 18th – Friday, June 19th - Session Full

Session B: Tuesday, June 23rd – Wednesday, June 24th Session Full

Session C: Saturday, June 27th – Sunday, June 28th (Family & Guest overnight will be offered!)

Session D: Monday July 13th (Abbreviated One-Day Session for Transfer Students)

For Sessions A – C, plan on arriving between 9:00am – 9:45am to check-in and put your things in your room for the night. The day kicks off at 10:15am with the Orientation Welcome in the Fels Student Center and will conclude by 1:00pm. on the second day.

Session D is designed primarily for students who are transferring in and have already experienced an overnight Orientation. It is a one-day abbreviated session designed to give only the essential information needed to be prepared for the fall academic semester. We highly encourage you to try and attend Sessions A – C to get the complete orientation experience.

Families & Guests: This year for Session C we will be offering an extended Orientation Session for families & guests that will include an overnight! You will experience an overnight in an on-campus Residence Hall and a more in-depth view of what life will be like for your student at Nichols College. The cost of the overnight session will be $50.00 per person and will include the following:

· Housing in the Copper Beech Residence Hall (apartment style housing, with private bedroom and shared bathrooms & common areas)

• Linens (bed sheets, blankets, pillows & towels)
  
• Lunch, dinner & snacks on day one and breakfast on day two
• An extended Family & Guest orientation program

Please note the overnight option is only available during Session C, Saturday, June 27th – Sunday, June 28th. This session will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Space is limited!
